Itinerary
Day 1 – Cleveland, OH – House of Blues
Arrive in Cleveland, OH. Check into your Downtown hotel for a two night stay. Dinner is included tonight at the House of Blues the home of live music, folk art and Southern-inspired food. (D)
Day 2 – Museum of Contemporary Art – Foodie Tour – Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame – Dinner & Live Music
This morning visit the Museum of Contemporary Art Cleveland, The Rock Hall isn’t the only pyramid-like building in town, this museum is a reflective black stainless steel building that acts as an object of admiration for the art lovers it attracts.
After admiring this feat of artsy architecture, head inside to browse the collection that has included the likes of Andy Warhol, Jasper Johns, and Frank Gehry (oh, and Yoko Ono’s legendary smashed teacups display).
Next, you take an Iconic Food Tour of Cleveland. Taste the flavors that built this rust belt city while learning how a melting pot of cultures evolved Cleveland into a culinary juggernaut. Possible stops include: a Cleveland Landmark slinging schnitzel and pierogi started by a Slovenian immigrant with just a few picnic tables; a Little Italy Bakery with desserts nearly too pretty eat that’s been run by the same family for four generations; Cleveland’s oldest family owned restaurant whose polish cuisine has earned them a James Beard award; a must stop of the Presidential Campaign trail that’s nationally known for its mouth watering corned beef.
The afternoon features a tour of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and Museum. The 150,000 square-foot museum features seven floors, five theaters for films, special events and free public programs and ever-changing exhibits.
With a permanent collection drawing from the most impressive and iconic rock and roll artifacts and a wide-ranging roster of on-going and temporary exhibits. The museum is dedicated to exploring the past, present and future of the music and the cultural context from which it emerges.
Tonight, enjoy dinner and live music at the Music Box Supper Club. Enjoy an intimate live performance from homegrown Cleveland talent, who will be covering a music legend’s most beloved songs— while enjoying a meal and the Music Box Supper Club’s gorgeous riverfront views. If there is not a live concert already scheduled this evening, you have the option of choosing your artist. Live Tribute Options include: Paul Simon, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Elvis Presley, Dave Matthews Band, Elton John, Frank Sinatra, U2 and Bruce Springsteen. (B,L,D)
Day 3 – West Side Market – Depart for Home
Before leaving Cleveland this morning, stop at the West Side Market, a favorite destination for locals as well as out of towners. This is Cleveland’s public oldest market is home to 100 vendors offering meats, seafood, fruits, vegetables, baked goods, dairy, flowers, ready-to-eat foods, spices and nuts.
Afterwards, depart for home. (B)
