Day 2 – Guided City Tour – Cottonland Castle – Dr. Pepper Museum – Texas Ranger Hall of Fame & Museum
This morning, meet your local guide for a sightseeing tour of Waco. See Downtown Waco, the Waco Suspension Bridge which opened in 1870 and contains nearly 3 million bricks and often featured in the opening scenes of Fixer Upper, Baylor University the oldest continuously operating university in Texas, and more!
There are many options for group photos along the way like the Cattle Drive sculpture at the Suspension Bridge featuring a herd of thirty or so bronze cattle.
This tour also includes a photo stop at the Cottonland Castle recently remodeled by Chip & Joanna Gaines and featured on Fixer Upper: The Castle. Chip and Joanna took on their biggest fixer yet: the famous castle in Waco, Texas. They breathed new life into the historic landmark, while tackling its challenging infrastructure and preserving its original beauty.
After a break for lunch on own, visit the Dr. Pepper Museum. You will be greeted by A Dr Pepper Educator who will provide you with a brief introduction to Dr Pepper history. On this self-guided tour, learn the history & see the memorabilia of soft drinks in a 1906 bottling plant. Enjoy a cold, Dr. Pepper at the end of your visit.
Next, tour the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame & Museum, a state-designated official historical center of the famed Texas Rangers law enforcement agency. The Texas Ranger is one of the most cherished symbols of the Lone Star State, a positive and enduring icon of Texas and America.
Dinner is included this evening at Ninfa’s Mexican Restaurant. (B,D)
