Itinerary

Day 1 – Virginia Beach – Holiday Welcome Dinner with Live Entertainment – Holiday Lights at the Beach

Arrive in Virginia Beach, VA and check into your oceanfront hotel for a two night stay.  This evening, enjoy a Holiday Welcome Dinner at the hotel with live entertainment.  Get you in the Christmas spirit with your favorite holiday tunes, including the classics that bring back memories of Christmases of yore.

After dinner, take a magical journey on the Virginia Beach Boardwalk for Holiday Lights at the Beach. Drive through holiday, nautical, and adventure-themed light displays, listening on the radio to a soundtrack playing traditional holiday music. Festive fish, musical crabs, and hard-working elves – all in brightly colored lights against the moonlit Atlantic Ocean. The magical light display features fish swimming overhead, color-changing archways, and light fixtures that pay tribute to the region’s Armed Forces community. (D)

Day 2 – Chrysler Museum & Perry Glass Studio w/Demo – MacArthur Center Shopping – Hunter House Museum – Winterfest on the Wisconsin – Holiday Dinner Cruise

This morning visit the Chrysler Museum, home to Walter Chrysler’s world-class collection of more than 30,000 pieces of art.  While there, experience the art of glass with a glass blowing demonstration in their new Perry Glass Studio.

Next, enjoy shopping and lunch on your own at the MacArthur Center Located in the heart of downtown Norfolk, and just a few blocks from the waterfront, experience world class shopping featuring Dillard’s, and 140 extraordinary stores.  There are also many dining options including Chili’s, Johnny Rockets and Panda Express.

The afternoon features a tour the Hunter House Victorian Museum decorated for the holidays. The Museum is rich in architectural detail displays the Hunter family’s collection of furnishings and decorative pieces decorated up for a Victorian Christmas.

Then it’s time for Nauticus’ WinterFest on the Wisconsin, the region’s only waterfront light festival. On the Battleship Wisconsin experience uniquely themed light zones, below deck tours, live music & entertainment, a never-before-seen Santa Experience, and a new restaurant inside the Battleship Wisconsin’s historic wardroom, lighted boat parades on the river, and a guaranteed forecast of snow every night!

End the day with a Holiday Dinner Cruise.  On the Spirit of Norfolk, enjoy a two-hour cruise along the Elizabeth River, a delicious dinner buffet and spectacular views of the Navy’s mighty Atlantic Fleet. (B,D)

Day 3 – Holiday Taffy Making at Forbes Candies – Depart for Home

After breakfast, enjoy one last holiday treat.  Visit Forbes Candies for a lesson in holiday taffy making and enjoy a sweet treat.  Depart for home after your visit. (B)
