Day 2 – Babushkas & Hard Hats Tour w/lunch – Free Time & Brewery Tour – Dinner Cruise
This morning, enjoy Babushkas & Hard Hats Tour of The Steel Town. This tour gets to the heart of the steel town story, getting to know the people, places and historic events that once made Pittsburgh the epicenter of steel production. Immigrants and migrants were drawn to the region as industry rose, bringing a rich collection of cultures and traditions with them as they forged new lives.
Visit all three of Rivers of Steel’s heritage attractions: the Carrie Blast Furnaces, The Bost Building, Pump House. Plus, The Frick Pittsburgh, The Murals of Maxo Vanka, and the Nationality Rooms root this tour in the Pittsburgh experience, and a special immigrant-inspired lunch elicits the smells and flavors of Grandma’s kitchen.
The afternoon features some free time at The Strip District, one of the city’s oldest neighborhoods, and is a hub for those shopping for food, spirits or coffee, and Pittsburgh sports gear. Plus, enjoy a brewery tour and tasting at one of Pittsburgh’s 40 craft breweries.
End the day with a Dinner Cruise along Pittsburgh’s Three Rivers. Sit back and watch the river go by as you enjoy a grand dinner buffet. Experience the best way to see Pittsburgh from this grand riverboat. The captain narrates the sights to make your visit to Pittsburgh’s Three Rivers complete. Stroll up to the third deck and enjoy the breathtaking views of Pittsburgh. (B,L,D)
Day 3 – Duquesne Incline – Depart for Home
This morning, take a ride on the Duquesne Incline. Glide 400 feet above Pittsburgh’s three rivers on this historic funicular, one of only a few remaining in the country. The iconic red cable cars climb the hillside of Mt. Washington and take you to the Observation Deck at the upper station, where you’ll experience an incredible skyline view.
Depart for home. (B)
