She is the blogger, best selling author and host of the Food Network Show “The Pioneer Woman Cooks.” This tour feature’s her story and shows the affect that a TV Show can have on a small town. It includes lots of shopping, Native American history and nature here in the High Grass.

Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrive Tulsa, OK
Today, you travel to Tulsa where you will be staying the next three nights at a local hotel. Tonight, enjoy a Cowboy style cookout dinner. (D)
Day 2 – Full Day in Pawhuska – Home of The Pioneer Woman
You are in for a treat today when you visit the Pioneer Woman Mercantile, owned by Food Network TV show host Ree Drummond, aka The Pioneer Woman, this shop is a must-see destination. The Pioneer Woman Mercantile began in 1910 as Osage Mercantile and was a place for trading goods and browsing. Ree and family wanted to honor The Merc’s legacy by creating a shopping experience that hints to an earlier time in small town America. It takes time to see it all, so stop in and stay awhile!
Also included on this Tour Package will be a copy of Ree Drummond’s newest book. What ever the title is that is published closest to your tour’s departure date. We will ship a box to your office prior to the tour’s departure and you can distribute them on the bus. Interesting reading while you drive, and an autograph opportunity if Ree happens to be in town.
Shopping at The Merc is a treasure hunt, with surprises everywhere you turn. Come explore the glorious cabinets, browse the abundant shelves, and peek in all the drawers! There is also a Deli and a Bakery where you can enjoy comfort food classics in the deli, to hand-crafted bakery items, the offerings are endlessly delicious.
You will also have free time to explore downtown Pawhuska. Stroll through downtown Pawhuska, a spot that celebrates its rich history. The town was founded in 1872, and 86 buildings in the downtown area are on the National Register of Historic Places. There are also many other shopping opportunities in historic downtown Pawhuska where you can find everything from antiques and collectibles to fine art.
Lunch is on your own today. You may want to sit down for a meal at Bad Brad’s Bar-B-Q joint or Grille 125 and enjoy Pawhuska’s combination—and celebration—of past, present, and future. You could also enjoy lunch at the Mercantile Deli.

Day 3 – Ponca City – Woolaroc – Osage Casino
Ree Drummond is not the only Pioneer Woman in Oklahoma. Today you visit the Pioneer Woman Museum in Ponca City that honors the legacy of women from all races, creeds, and nationalities who have contributed to the development of Oklahoma. The world-famous 30 ft. tall bronze statue commemorating the heroic character of the women who braved dangers and hardships to settle in Oklahoma is featured.
Then you will meet “Madame Opal” at the Museum for a guided tour of Ponca City. “Madame Opal, a Ponca City original, will lead you on a tour of “Ponca City Dirt” while she shows and tells you about the history of the area.
Next, you head to the Silvertop Farm & Vineyards for lunch and a guided tour. This fully functional farm is located on 4,000 acres in Ponca City. Here you will meet historical re-enactors who share tidbits of history, from Native American heritage to winemaking lessons. Silvertop Farm also includes a sheep and goat herding demonstration, as well as a petting zoo, where you can learn more about animal science and of course pet the animals.
You will then tour the vineyard and try samples of the vineyard-crafted wines Also included in you visit is a deluxe lunch buffet with Native Americans providing entertainment before getting back on the road.
This afternoon, you visit the Woolaroc Museum & Wildlife Preserve. First, you will drive through the Wildlife Preserve, a 3,700 acre wildlife preserve that is home to more than 30 varieties of native and exotic animals and birds. It is a working ranch that maintains the animals for the enjoyment of guests in a natural, protected setting. Frank Phillips, founder of Phillips Petroleum Company, created the Woolaroc preserve in 1925 to retain the essence of the West as he had known it before the turn of the century.
Some of the animals you will see include American Bison, elk and longhorn cattle and more. Then you will have time to visit the Museum with one of America’s most unique displays of Western art and artifacts; Native American pottery, baskets, beads, blankets and cultural art; historical displays and one of the most complete collections of Colt firearms.
Tonight, you enjoy a free evening at the Osage Casino. Try you luck at blackjack, table games and electronic games. Dinner is also included tonight at the Casino. (B,L,D)
Day 4 – Depart for home
