Itinerary
Today, travel on a Yankee Trails motorcoach to Weeki Wachee Springs State Park. Weeki Wachee is an enchanted spring where you can see live mermaids, take a trip on a river boat cruise, learn about Florida wildlife, and swim in the pristine waters at Buccaneer Bay. You can also embark on a paddling adventure down the pristine waterway of the Weeki Wachee River. Weeki Wachee Springs State Park is one of Florida’s most legendary and unique family destinations, entertaining audiences since 1947.
Step back in time and enjoy the classic mermaid show, but remember this quintessential Old Florida site is also home to the deepest freshwater cave system in the country and abundant protected wildlife.
Perhaps the best-known symbol of the yesteryear of Florida tourism, Weeki Wachee’s iconic mermaids perform in pure aquamarine water that flows from a first-magnitude spring.
Lunch is on your own while at the park, but there are plenty of dining options to choose from. There will also be some free time for you to enjoy the park on your own.
Then take a ride down the pristine waterway of the Weeki Wachee River on a river boat tour. Our experienced boat captains give our guests an educational experience about the river and the different types of natural wildlife they might see.
Late this afternoon, depart for home.
